About Contented Critters
We are Graeme and Carol Pieremont, a happily married couple.
Graeme has been actively involved as a Volunteer at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary since 2002 and has recently retired as the result of a move to the Northern end of the Gold Coast. Carol has chosen to work specifically as a pet carer in the pet minding industry since her retirement from medical office management back in 2010. Initially she commenced working as a sub-contractor to two Gold Coast-based pet sitting companies. In 2012, she and her husband were thrilled to embark on their very own exciting journey and “Carol’s Contented Critters” was born.
Carol and Graeme are both animal lovers, Carol having grown up in a family where the opportunity was given to own a variety of critters (fish, turtles, reptiles, rabbits, stick insects, rats/mice, parrots, cats and dogs). Carol would also regularly go horse riding, when the opportunity presented itself.
Years later, the opportunity arose to live on an acreage on the Far North Coast of NSW. Carol ventured into taking on farm animals as well as domestic animals, so her children would know not only the pleasures, but also the responsibilities, of caring for living creatures. Even later, many a stray or unloved furry friend would land on her doorstep as a result of her daughter working in a volunteer capacity at the local Tweed RSPCA. More recently, both Graeme and Carol have done frequent pet minding assignments here on the Gold Coast, so they come with a wealth of experience.
Now ‘empty nesters’, Graeme and Carol have their time freed up to do pet sitting visits and dog walking. This work has taken them interstate and involved the care of both domestic and farm animals. They have a real passion for what they do and, no longer having dependent children at home means they can spend unlimited, quality time with your much loved pets. They refer to it as “getting their pet fix”!
